MIKKAR Abyssinians - Kitten Contracts
The purpose of Kitten Contracts is to clarify the rights and the responsibilities of both the new owner
of the kitten, and of Mikkar Abyssinians. You will be asked to sign and keep a copy of a simple contract
along the lines below:-
Pet Kittens
We ask for the following to be met:-
- To keep the cat in a relaxing and peaceful environment.
- To keep vaccinations up-to-date.
- To seek veterinary attention if the cat is ill or injured.
- To neuter the cat, and not to let it be used for breeding.
Show or Breeding Kittens
If we trust you enough to sell you a show or breeding cat, then we assume that you are responsible people. We
normally have the following conditions in the contract:-
- To keep the cat in a relaxing and peaceful environment.
- To keep vaccinations up-to-date.
- To seek veterinary attention if the cat is ill or injured.
- You may use the cat for breeding - we will try to help you with advice and, if appropriate, stud services.
- You may show the cat - we prefer you to show under GCCF, but you do not have to.
- You may keep any of the offspring for breeding.
- You may sell the offspring for show or breeding if they are good enough. We are happy to advise on this. We
do ask, however, that you consult us before selling a cat for stud purposes.
